Unfortunately, I watched this heartbreaking documentary today. It tells the story of the Philly-based black organization, MOVE.
I was under the impression that MOVE was a progressive group similar to the Black Panthers or the Nation of Islam. But MOVE didn’t have a clear mission and purpose as the other groups of the past had. MOVE was a bit backwards. They were came to be known as a dangerous black cult that disrupted the quality of life for their neighbors in West Philly.
Although they had questionable values and radical practices they still didn’t deserve what the city had in store for them.
Definitely check this one out!
